Entrepreneurial thinking in higher education is not an original idea, but making it a core principal of higher education has taken off in the last decade. Academic institutions of the public trust are compelled to accelerate and apply innovation for economic and societal benefit. These aspirations are rooted with an entrepreneurial focus, are aligned with the goals of the modern university, and complement the disruptive environment in which higher education competes.
